About

Placeholder ImageTammy Schock is the proud owner of TLS Wedding Designs and Executive Director of the Divine Designs Bridal Expo.

Built upon the strong desire of one person’s dream to succeed and bring diversification to her community, Schock has decided to take the bridal show to a whole new level.

When this amazing venture arose to take on the bridal show, I jumped at the opportunity wholeheartedly. I had a great vision and goal for the bridal show from the very beginning of the planning stages to bring something NEW to Dawson Creek and truly showcase the diversification Dawson Creek and surrounding areas had to offer the Special Events Industry.

Set in the “Heart” of the mighty Peace River Region, Dawson Creek, British Columbia will be the location to the 1st Annual Divine Designs Bridal Expo 2009. The Bridal Expo will showcase everything someone will need to plan their next special event from conception to completion all under one roof.

This event will take place Sunday, January 18th, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Along with the trade show set to commence at 10:00 A.M. sharp, 3 fashion shows will be shown throughout the day starting at 11:00 A.M., going every two hours, showcasing everything from Bridal Gowns, Flower Girl Dresses and everything in between.

Early Bird Prizes and giveaways are just a few exciting things to take place during this amazing event. But my vision was not only to showcase the Special Events Industry in a whole new way but to also be able to give back to the community.

This year, Divine Designs Bridal Expo 2009 has set a goal to raise up to $5,000.00 to go to the Dawson Creek Salvation Army’s Food Bank. Christmas time is a time to celebrate with friends and family. But unfortunately for many families, it is time of stress and grief. Stress and grief of not knowing if this year they will be able to afford the necessities of life such as food not to mention presents for their children. The Salvation Army’s Food Bank helps many of those families be able to celebrate the Christmas season with dignity and hope. Unfortunately, every year the Food Bank is hit hard with the growing number of people needing their support.

I, not to long ago, needed the help of the Salvation Army’s Food Bank in Edmonton where I once lived and here in Dawson Creek when I became a single parent in 2003. Through their support I was able to provide food for my family and hope to myself. It was a hard decision to have to stand in line at the Food Bank to receive your portion of food, but through them I was able to provide much more than that to my children - a Sense of Hope.

I am encouraging every vendor who participates in the show and every attendee who purchases a ticket to bring a non-perishable food item to the show. This is will donated to the Dawson Creek Salvation Army’s Food Bank. With Christmas over and the new year beginning, the Salvation Army’s Food Bank will be hit hard with its annual food hampers it gives every year to deserving families. My goal is to help restock those near empty shelves that will in turn help those in need for the new year.

Don’t miss out on this amazing event. Be part of something wonderful and exciting and watch the smile and eyes light up of one child who’s world YOU just help change.
