Executive Director - Tammy Schock, TLS Wedding Designs

Tammy proudly owns and operates TLS Wedding Designs in Dawson Creek, BC. As a Bridal Consultant for the Peace River Region, Tammy has brought her creativity to the Special Events Industry with Style and Flare for the Extraordinary. She can customize a wedding package to suit your needs right down to the smallest detail.

Tammy stands firm on being certified in the industry you are in. Nearing her 2 year course through ICS Canada, she will be recognized as a Certified Bridal Consultant throughout North America. A recent graduate of the Self Employment Program through Community Futures of Peace Liard, Tammy was the First International Winner, in 25 years, of the “Miss Dorothy Scholarship” Award in 2007. This award is appointed to only two Novice Members of the Association of Bridal Consultants per year which allows the two members to attend the annual conference free of charge. Each applicant must submit a one page summary and their business plan to a panel of judges who cannot know who they are or where they are from.

Tammy also graduated with her 1^st year certificate in Visual and Communication Graphic Arts from Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek, B.C.

Sue’s Hair upstairs has been in business for close to two years and loving every minute of it. I have been doing hair for over 29 years and have many awards including New Talent Provincial Champion of 1999. I believe in staying educated and try to go to as many classes as possible through the year.

Hair Design Team - Nikki Bruvold, Divine Salon & Day Spa

Nikki Bruvold owner of Divine Salon & Day Spa got started in the industry at a very young age. After many bald barbies at the age of 5; she started makeup artistry and stage makeup classes at the York Memorial Collegiate Institute in Toronto, doing makeup for many productions in the drama clubs and choir performances.

Nikki moved to Edmonton after starting her cosmetology courses at 15 and moved to Dawson Creek at 17. Nikki did many wedding and grad hair styles over the next few years also working in other retail fields. After being told by many friends and family, Nikki decided to get into the field full time and started working in a couple of salons before opening her newest venture - Divine Salon & Day Spa in October 2007.

Divine Salon & Day Spa employs two estheticians, two cosmetologists and a part time hair stylist. We will also be welcoming back another full time cosmetologist from the college’s Cosmetology Program at the end of the year.

Divine Salon & Day Spa has many goals for the future, too many to count. We will be here for a good long time and look forward to serving the Dawson Creek community and surrounding areas for many years to come.

Tryna Gower - Tryna Gower Photography, Dawson Creek, BC

Local Artist Tryna Gower established her business 7 years ago in Dawson Creek and caters to many areas throughout the Peace Region. Last Year Tryna was nominee for an “Arora Award of Distinction Award” and this November for a BC Achievement award. Recently Tryna was also selected to be 1 of 100 British Columbia women featured in the 1^st ever “New Pioneers” book published by the Women’s Enterprise Centre in Kelowna, BC. This book is a celebration of the pioneering spirit of 100 contemporary women from around the province as a record of accomplishments for generations to come.

Lenard Sanders - Lenard Sanders Photography, Prince George, BC

Lenard Sanders purchased his first camera when he was fourteen and since then, he has combined his love of the outdoors and his passion for wilderness photography to produce outstanding images of British Columbia wildlife, nature and scenic provincial parks and mountain areas.

Born in Prince George, British Columbia, Lenard spends a great deal of his life exploring his home province including: back country skiing in the Rocky Mountains, canoeing the Takla Lake and Bowron Lake chains, llama trekking in Kakwa Provincial Park, rafting the Tatshenshini River, kayaking around the Queen Charlotte Islands, hiking the West Coast Trail, exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park, horseback riding on the Goat River Trail, discovering the rain forests of Vancouver Island and Moresby Island and visiting fascinating places such as Telegraph Creek and Hot Springs Cove.

Lenard has won various competitions for his wilderness and nature photography including an honorable mention in the 1999 Banff Mountain Photography Competition and his work has been exhibited at the Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George, BC. Trent Ernst - Eye for Detail Photography, Tumbler Ridge, BC

Trent Ernst is principal photographer for Eye For Detail Photography. He has been taking pictures since his brother sold him his second-hand Ricoh KR-10 while he was still back in high school.

While photography was always a passionate hobby, Trent made the leap to taking pictures professionally, first as a journalist and later as a portrait and wedding photographer. He has been shooting professionally for the past decade, and has been operating Eye For Detail Photography for the last six years. He is a passionate artist and a and strives to offer his brides creative coverage of their special day.

Trent is also a Guest Speaker at this year’s event
